Motorola Edge 50 and Edge 50 Neo

Motorola has unveiled the Edge 50 Neo, the most compact addition to this year’s Edge 50 lineup. The launch coincides with the global release of the standard Edge 50, allowing us to explore both devices side by side.

The Edge 50 Neo may be the smallest in the series, featuring a 6.36-inch display, but it actually ranks higher than the Edge 50 Fusion in the lineup. Despite its compact size, this device packs an impressive array of features, especially considering its price point.

Here are the specifications of the Motorola Edge 50 Neo at a glance:

  • Body: 154.1 x 71.2 x 8.1 mm, 171g; Gorilla Glass 3 front, aluminum frame, silicone polymer (eco leather) back; IP68 dust/water resistance (up to 1.5m for 30 min), MIL-STD-810H compliant (note: this does not guarantee ruggedness or suitability for extreme conditions).

The Edge 50 Neo features a 120Hz LTPO OLED display with a variable refresh rate. This true triple-camera setup includes a dedicated 3x zoom lens and both fast wired and wireless charging. Additionally, the base model offers a comfortable 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

In a market with increasingly fewer compact options, the Motorola Edge 50 Neo stands out as an intriguing choice, thanks to its capable hardware and surprisingly competitive price.

While the Edge 50 is larger, more expensive, and more powerful than the Neo, it features a more advanced chipset, a larger display with higher resolution, and a bigger battery.
